Following my article on sugar, here is a quick blog to give you all some links to recipes that have been a hit in our house – healthy stuff, some with sugar and some without, but all yummy and full of goodness:
Deep dish cookie pie made with chickpeas! (a low fat recipe)
Another one made with chickpeas, low fat and high in omega 3!
This one is a no-bake recipe, which should taste like cookie do, but which I have not tried. However, I have done something similar (dates, cashews and banana was in mine – pressed into a tin dusted with coconut or oats). This one looks good.
Chocolate brownies made with black beans! I have substituted the flaxseed and water for an egg (which is what the flaxseed is originally replacing). It is then not vegan, obviously, but if you have no flaxseed to hand, it works.
Jam thumbprint cookies – great for making with kids! I use coconut oil instead of butter, as it is very good for you!
We will made a recipe section on this website sometime in the future. For the time being, this will have to do! Enjoy baking with your little ones.
